When a St. Pete Beach fireplace quits, it is rarely mysterious — idle-season dust, tired ignition parts, or corrosion that started months ago. We find it on the spot, show you what failed, and fix it with the right part.

A fireplace in St. Pete Beach is not fighting winter — it is fighting humidity, salt air, storms and long months of sitting unused. This is what we actually find here, and what we check for on every visit.
Metal chimney caps, dampers, grates and vent terminations corrode faster in St. Pete Beach's humid, salt-carrying air. We inspect the metal parts most companies skip, and replace what is quietly rusting through — before rain finds its way down the flue.
Newer St. Pete Beach construction and renovations lean on gas — sleek indoor units, and outdoor fireplaces and fire pits on the patio. We install, service and repair both, including the weather wear outdoor burners take in this climate.
An open flue in Florida is an invitation: chimney swifts, wasps and palm debris all find their way in during the warm months. A screened cap keeps the flue clear without blocking the draft.
Patio fireplaces and fire pits live outside in the rain season: burners pit, igniters corrode, and valves stiffen. Outdoor units here need service more often than indoor ones, not less.

Yes — quietly. Metal chimney caps, dampers, grates and vent terminations corrode faster in humid, salt-carrying air, and a rusted-through cap lets rain straight down the flue. An inspection checks the metal parts most companies skip, so corrosion gets caught while it is still a small repair.
Don't light the fireplace. Storms blow caps off and drive rain and debris into open flues, and a wet, blocked flue can push smoke and carbon monoxide into the room. We inspect the flue, clear whatever came down, and fit a proper cap so it stays dry.
Usually, yes. That haze is mineral film baked onto the glass by heat and hard water vapor, and it gets worse the longer it sits. We remove the glass, strip the film with the right compounds, check the gasket seal, and refit it — if the glass is etched through, we will tell you honestly and quote a replacement only if you want it.
Leave the fireplace off, and if the smell is strong, leave the house and call your gas utility or 911 first. Once it is safe, call us: a faint odor at startup can be a lazy ignition, but it can also be a leaking valve or connector, and that is fixed before the fireplace is used again — never after.
Do not light a fire. Animals and nests block the flue, and a blocked flue pushes smoke and carbon monoxide into the room. We clear the flue, check for damage, and fit a screened cap so it cannot happen again.
No — and be wary of anyone who does. Every fireplace fails differently, so a phone price is a guess that changes at your door. Our estimates are free: a tech looks at the actual problem, then gives you one clear price before any work starts.
